• 2½ cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1½ cups chopped pecans
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla

Cooking directions:

Cook sugar, syrup, salt and water until it forms a hard ball. Pour into beaten egg whites. Beat constantly. Add pecans and vanilla and keep beating until mass thickens and becomes heavy. Pour into buttered pan and cut when cold or drop with teaspoon.
