• 3 cups sugar
  • ½ pint whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Cooking directions:

In saucepan, place 2 cups sugar, whipping cream and butter. Stir well and cook slowly. In small cast iron black skillet, melt sugar. Slowly add melted sugar to boiling cream mixture. Continue to boil until it reaches soft ball stage. Remove from heat and let cool. Add vanilla and pecans. Continue beating until ready to drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper.
