CINNAMON-PECAN POUND CAKE

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 (8 ounce) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Cooking directions:

Cream margarine and sugar. Add 2 eggs one at a time and beat. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in a separate bowl pecans, sugar and cinnamon. Add flour mixture and sour cream to sugar, margarine and egg mixture. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Grease a tube pan and sprinkle with flour. Place ½ pecan mixture on bottom of pan. Spoon in half of batter. Use rest of pecan mixture and top with remaining batter. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325 degrees.
